I have read and followed the "Reporting Problems" section on the Contact page and am providing the following details for this report based on the list of items stated there: My handle: RBH4-SIXXS Subnet: R8077 I am well aware that I have skipped some of the points on your list, but my problem is related to the zonecheck tool only aa the tunnel and subnet are working great. I have setup the subnet R8077 and added ns.zz9.dk as the nameserver. This is working fine and reverse DNS lookups are working fine. Your zonecheck reports an error though:
Unable to find nameserver IP address(es) for smaug.zz9.dk.
I tried to add smaug.zz9.dk as a nameserver when I created the subnet, but it failed (as it should have been ns.zz9.dk), so I added ns.zz9.dk instead. This all seems ok, but I cannot get rid of this message now. When I look at the subnet page (https://www.sixxs.net/home/routeinfo/?8077) smaug.zz9.dk is not listed so I cannot remove it. smaug.zz9.dk does not occur in my zone file:

It was once listed as an NS record but I removed it several days ago and have waited patiently for the record to time out in the cache. Running zonecheck at home gives no error (apart from complaining that I have only one nameserver and need at least two). It seems like a bug in your zonecheck or stale data somewhere in your system, but I could of course have done something wrong. If you need more information I will gladly provide it. I tried to add smaug.zz9.dk as a nameserver (this was my fault as it should have been ns.zz9.dk). This failed and I added ns.zz9.dk instead. I have (no longer - smaug.zz9.dk was in the SOA record and in a NS record but that was a week ago) references to smaug.zz9.dk in my zonefile:

However zonecheck complains (Zonecheck for d.1.d.d.8.d.6.1.1.0.0.2.ip6.arpa):
Unable to find nameserver IP address(es) for smaug.zz9.dk.
When I look at the subnet page (R8077) only ns.zz9.dk is listed, so I am unable to remove smaug.zz9.dk. Zonecheck run at home (version from Debian unstable) does not complain (apart from having only one nameserver). This seems like a bug in your zonecheck or stale data in your database, but it could of course be my mistake. I'll gladly provide more info if needed. I can also be contacted by mail on moffe@zz9.dk. DNS has caches, and cached entries remain in the cache till they time out. You will just have to wait for the TTL to expire in all the caches around the world. Both the caching resolvers our central host uses have it still in the cache. Have patience. Everything is fine on ns{1|2|3}.sixxs.net, thus there is nothing we can do here; we unfortunately don't control the Internet (yet).
