hubud01 dropping most of the IPv4 traffic

Hello, hubud01 seems to be dropping most of the traffic: # traceroute6 -n ipv6.google.com traceroute to ipv6.l.google.com (2a00:1450:400d:802::1012) from 2a01:368:e013:2f::a:1, 30 hops max, 24 byte packets 1 2a01:368:e013:2f::1 1.602 ms 1.472 ms 1.401 ms 2 * * * 3 2a01:368:ff01:16::2 2606.39 ms * * 4 * 2a01:368:ff01:16::2 19.307 ms !H * 5 * * * 6 * * * 7 * * * 8 * 2a01:368:ff01:16::2 705.377 ms !H 3757.67 ms !H Even the IPv4 packets are mostly dropped: # ping -c 100 -q 94.21.7.130 PING 94.21.7.130 (94.21.7.130) 56(84) bytes of data. --- 94.21.7.130 ping statistics --- 100 packets transmitted, 21 received, 79% packet loss, time 99024ms rtt min/avg/max/mdev = 35.440/43.571/63.770/6.044 ms There is no problem with IPv4 traffic to other hosts: # ping -c 50 -q google.com PING google.com (173.194.39.70) 56(84) bytes of data. --- google.com ping statistics --- 50 packets transmitted, 50 received, 0% packet loss, time 49040ms rtt min/avg/max/mdev = 3.339/3.560/3.715/0.126 ms Thanks, Akos Szalkai AST12-SIXXS
hubud01 dropping most of the IPv4 traffic
[ch] Jeroen Massar SixXS Staff on Wednesday, 13 March 2013 23:38:29
# traceroute6 -n ipv6.google.com
Note that the packets to the PoP are arriving, the path after it seems broken though, at least from the view of that traceroute.
Even the IPv4 packets are mostly dropped:
Please realize that there are several IPv4 hops between your endpoint and the PoP that can be causing this. Next to that ICMP is sometimes ratelimitted and thus a bad indicator.
There is no problem with IPv4 traffic to other hosts:
Which likely has quite a different path.

Hello Jeroen, you are absolutely right, that was poor error reporting on my part. Anyway, hubud01 seems to be fixed now, so you can close this ticket. Thanks, Akos Szalkai AST12-SIXXS
