Tunnel downtime notification while tunnel is up
[nl] Shadow Hawkins on Wednesday, 03 October 2012 14:13:27
Hi, I receive notifications my endpoint is not pingable. I did some checks from different locations and actually my address 2001:1af8:fe00:2ca::2 gives a icmp reply on all of these locations and websites running on that address are working fine. iptables currently not running zo all is open to the world. Could you please look into this? Or tell me what i'm doing wrong to troubleshoot this. I recently moved the endpoint from my home server to a non-native ipv6 VPS. The notification details: This is the tunnelrobot at SixXS, mailing you to inform you that your tunnel to Leaseweb B.V. has not been replying to pings for a period of time Here's the information regarding the tunnel: Handle : JKX9-SIXXS PoP Name : nlhaa01 (nl.leaseweb [AS16265]) Your Location: Haarlem, nl SixXS IPv6 : 2001:1af8:fe00:2ca::1/64 Your IPv6 : 2001:1af8:fe00:2ca::2/64 SixXS IPv4 : 94.75.219.73 Your IPv4 : 85.17.248.164 Last known responding: 2012-09-26 17:00:26 We use ICMPv6 ping to reach your IPv6 endpoint every minute. Pings originate from the PoP side of the tunnel and your side should reply over the tunnel, but it doesn't. Thanks, Jeroen Kuijk

It is 3nd of October 2012 today, that is almost a week later. Obviously your tunnel is not up when you get those messages, otherwise you would not get them. Please read the FAQ for all the details.
