Unreliable download speeds on large downloads
[de] Shadow Hawkins on Saturday, 16 August 2008 22:42:29
I have read and followed the "Reporting Problems" section on the Contact page and am providing the following details for this report based on the list of items stated there: Downloading larger files (ie. distros) to my MacBook (10.5.4) over 2x WiFi (see below) yields erratic download speeds, every few seconds dropping the speed to zero. I have done quite extensive UDP testing and that does not seem to be the problem. Switching the endpoint to my gentoo machine (fully wired) I do not get those problems. Ping6 and "normal" website transfers work just fine. Any known incompatibilities here? Best regards, Christian. --- Network setup: DSL-Modem&Router Fritz!Box <-WiFi-> Linksys WRT54GL as AP client <-Ethernet-> Airport Express AP <-WiFi-> MacBook
