Problems getting tunnel up on Draytek 2920n using AICCU
[nl] Shadow Hawkins on Monday, 06 August 2012 11:19:17
I'm having problems getting my tunnel (T100802) running. My router (v3.6 firmware) has a builtin AICCU client, in which I have currently entered the following details: Username: NBI1-SIXXS/T100802 (I also tried without /T100802) Password: xxxx Tunnel broker: tic.sixxs.net Subnet Prefix: 2001:1AF8:FE00:3A4::2/64 On the LAN side, I enabled RADVD and set the following address 2001:1AF8:FE00:83A4::1/64 (Basically I followed these instructions: http://www.draytek.com/.upload/pdffiles/10af9d9d42e4596d77dc40d2c56e4098.pdf) I have also enabled ping on the WAN side for the WAN2 interface for both IPv4 and IPv6. I assumed Draytek uses AYIYA, as I cannot select anything in the GUI, so that is what I set the tunnel to. The tunnel doesn't come up at all. I also checked if the CLI offered some more options, but unfortunately this is not the case...

Problems getting tunnel up on Draytek 2920n using AICCU

Username: NBI1-SIXXS/T100802 (I also tried without /T100802)
Using the <username>/<tunnelid> notation forces that you use solely that tunnel. It does require you to use the TIC password you set on the tunnel information page, instead of the password you use to use to login to the website.
Subnet Prefix: 2001:1AF8:FE00:3A4::2/64
That is not your subnet prefix, that is your tunnel prefix.
On the LAN side, I enabled RADVD and set the following address 2001:1AF8:FE00:83A4::1/64
That is your subnet prefix (2001:1AF8:FE00:83A4::/64) which you need to use above.
I assumed Draytek uses AYIYA
It seems (checking the username in the pdf you mention) that that is what they at least tested.
The tunnel doesn't come up at all.
Try checking if there are logging options anywhere or other status overviews. Unfortunately we are not Draytek thus there is little we can tell about how those machines work, if at all.

I did set the TIC password separately
Subnet Prefix: 2001:1AF8:FE00:3A4::2/64

I realize that, I was merely literally quoting the text from the Draytek GUI, and as per the PDF, that is what they used, and that seems to work... Furthermore, I also tried swapping out the subnet prefix entry with the tunnel prefix and vice versa on both the LAN and WAN sides already, forgot to mention that in my inital problem description. Logging is non conclusive, I see nothing referring to the IPv6 tunnel...

I did set the TIC password separately
In that case you can use the username/tunnel-id notation along with that password.
I realize that, I was merely literally quoting the text from the Draytek GUI, and as per the PDF, that is what they used, and that seems to work...
The address in the red box for subnet prefix is 2001:4dd0:ff00:8805::2, the document thus is correct as that is a default routed subnet prefix.
Furthermore, I also tried swapping out the subnet prefix entry with the tunnel prefix and
vice versa on both the LAN and WAN sides already, forgot to mention that in my inital
problem description.
Filling in wrong details will not make anything work...
Logging is non conclusive, I see nothing referring to the IPv6 tunnel...
Without data we cannot help. It would already be useful if you could show those logs and the exact settings (except for the password) that you have entered. Then again we are not familiar with Draytek thus we can only guess. There does not seem to be a problem with the service we provide, as such, please per use the forums for figuring out this problem, or likely better, contact Draytek for information.

OK, I will try and troubleshoot some more. I must say I browsed the forums for quite a bit already, and also tried the google-o-matic, but so far no dice... I will also try and see what Draytek have to say about this issue...

I managed to find another article which pointed out that AYIYA wouldn't work properly, so I changed to a heartbeat type tunnel. Now I see the following in the logs: Time Message 2012-08-06 17:50:34 AICCU Init: ifno = 4, server = tic.sixxs.net, port = f22 2012-08-06 17:50:29 [IPv6] IPv6 WAN2 DOWN!!! 2012-08-06 17:50:29 Clear AICCU on WAN2 2012-08-06 17:50:29 AICCU Init: ifno = 4, server = tic.sixxs.net, port = f22 2012-08-06 17:50:24 [IPv6] IPv6 WAN2 DOWN!!! 2012-08-06 17:50:24 Clear AICCU on WAN2 2012-08-06 17:50:24 AICCU Init: ifno = 4, server = tic.sixxs.net, port = f22 Could it be possible that my account is blocked on the tic.sixxs.net server?

Which article?
Could it be possible that my account is blocked on the tic.sixxs.net server?
Seems your time is going forward and backward there (34, then 29, then 24...) that is rather odd. If that "AICCU Init" line means that it is starting aiccu, then I would not be surprised if you get blocked as that is definitely starting too often, the above would be 3 times in one minute already. If you get blocked though, and the login details are at least transmitted you would get a nice angry email from the robot though.

This article: http://www.tobias-bauer.de/sixxs-tunnel-mit-vigor-2850.html I decided to quit for today and give it another shot tomorrow. I didn't receive an email from the robot btw.
