Problem with Static Tunnel
[us] Shadow Hawkins on Friday, 13 June 2008 17:21:19
I have read and followed the "Reporting Problems" section on the Contact page and am providing the following details for this report based on the list of items stated there: I *THINK* this problem is simple, although it is driving me nuts. I have reconfigured and tried various methods to get IPv6 working correctly on my server. the tunnel is T15823 and I have tried both manual and aiccu configurations, with no luck. In the AICCU test i get to step 6 which then returns: From 2001:4830:1200:11c::2 icmp_seq=1 Destination unreachable: Address unreachable From 2001:4830:1200:11c::2 icmp_seq=2 Destination unreachable: Address unreachable From 2001:4830:1200:11c::2 icmp_seq=3 Destination unreachable: Address unreachable I have not been able to get the server's tunnel online, however my laptop seems to be doing just fine. The server is running the latest distro of Debian and all packages are up-to-date. It is running the 2.6.25 kernel. My Network configuration is behind a NAT and I have tried a DMZ setup to no avail. Thanks, Chase

Problem with Static Tunnel

Please actually read "Reporting Problems Checklist" and provide the details, as with the above the only thing I can tell is that you have a problem on your local machine (2001:4830:1200:11c::2 is your side of the tunnel). "My Network configuration is behind a NAT and I have tried a DMZ setup to no avail." You most likely will be much happier using an AYIYA tunnel which avoids all the hassle with DMZ setups. It can work though, if you want to get it to work that way, then just provide the requested details (see contact page) and we'll try to get you going. You will want to play around with tcpdump in that case also to see what is going on.
