Tunnel is up, no connectivity, incoming works, outgoing doesn't
[de] Shadow Hawkins on Saturday, 10 May 2008 04:11:20
I have read and followed the "Reporting Problems" section on the Contact page and am providing the following details for this report based on the list of items stated there: Hello, Today, I wanted to use my FreeWRT box to provide IPv6 connectivity for my lan using my newly acquired subnet but even the normal ayiya tunnel won't work. Incoming seems to work as I sometimes receive ping requests from the PoP. However, the corresponding responds or other outgoing packets dont't seem to reach the PoP via the tunnel (100% loss on tunnel status graph). Firewall is set to allow udp out on all ports and now even udp in on all ports. # uname -a Linux FreeWRT 2.4.33.3 #2 Fri May 9 20:33:11 CEST 2008 mips unknown # aiccu version AICCU 2007.01.15-gui by Jeroen Massar Binary is provided by FreeWRT repository. Tunnel is up, no connectivity, incoming works, outgoing doesn't

Hello! I have the same problem (with the same pop). My tunnel enables well, but is not working. When I try to ping my ipv6 nexthop at the pop, I get no ipv6 reply. Tcpdump on my internet interface shows the following:

You are getting ICMP proto-41 unreachables. As you have a heartbeat tunnel, this means that the PoP isn't receiving any proper heartbeat packets from you. Either the packets are not received at all, or the time you have in the packets is way off. Again, check your time.

That is amazing, a AICCU *GUI* Edition version for Linux? Can I see the source for that, as I certainly didn't write it. As you are on WRT, do check your timezone and setting, as they seem to be broken quite often (DST is simply an annoying thing too).

Problem is resolved, I installed antoher branch of FreeWRT (they really should clean up their svn..) and now it simply works. Thanks though for your efforts.
