multicast on bebru01 available and working ?
[be] Shadow Hawkins on Monday, 03 March 2008 08:40:31
I have read and followed the "Reporting Problems" section on the Contact page and am providing the following details for this report based on the list of items stated there: Unicast is working via bebru01 using the following tunnel T13062. This ticket is only related to multicast. I'm wondering if the multicast on bebru01 is working, when running the following tcpdump -i sixxs -ee -tt -v, I can't see any PIM Hello messages. Is it a known issue ? or my test is wrong (by looking at PIM Hello messages) ? Thanks a lot,

Multicast is experimental and as such might and might not work.

With ecmh support on POP you should see no PIMv6 messages between tunnel endpoint and POP, just MLD reports/queries. Question: except ecmh, are any routing extensions (or routing table modifications) needed for ipv6 multicast support on tunnel endpoint router serving a subnet? Greetings
