My NIC handle is MBO3-SIXXS (matt@mattb.net.nz) my tunnel is T12706 and my subnet is R5431. My tunnel is terminating on a Debian Etch host running Linux 2.6.18-5-686. TCPdump confirms that I get no response from either of the IPs mentioned above, there is no firewall on my host blocking packets.

Do note that these servers are ICMP-filtering and return !S, though one can query them perfectly fine from most locations, see below. iedub01 indeed doesn't seem able to reach that prefix (or more likely the reverse is not reachable) GRH notes that there is no route6 object for 2001:503:a83e::/48 which might cause some ISP's to silently filter this prefix out, especially as it is already an odd one, being a /48. The issue was caused by a missing MPLS tunnel upstream. This has been resolved.
