v4 to pop works, v6 doesn't

I'm trying to create a AYIYA tunnel T62329 for a research group of the University of Antwerp. bebru02 looks like the best option for a POP since the UA is part of BELNET. I'm able to send IPv4 traffic to the POP from the system that I'm trying to connect, it runs aiccu 20070115-11, installed from the standard package of Ubuntu 10.04.3 server. I'm 99% sure UDP/5072 is not blocked, i'm waiting on a response from the UA network service for that last 1%. Aiccu seems to run fine (ifconfig sixxs): sixxs Link encap:IPv6-in-IPv4 inet6 addr: fe80::8f81:8372/128 Scope:Link inet6 addr: 2001:6a8:200:32::2/64 Scope:Global UP POINTOPOINT RUNNING NOARP MTU:1280 Metric:1 RX packets:0 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 frame:0 TX packets:8 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 carrier:0 collisions:0 txqueuelen:0 RX bytes:0 (0.0 B) TX bytes:832 (832.0 B) TX bytes increases when i use 'ping6' as expected, RX doesn't There is no v6 firewall routes seem fine (route -A inet6): Kernel IPv6 routing table Destination Next Hop Flag Met Ref Use If 2001:6a8:200:32::/64 :: Un 256 0 1 sixxs fe80::/64 :: Un 256 0 0 sixxs ::/0 2001:6a8:200:32::1 UG 1 0 0 sixxs ::/0 :: !n -1 1 3122 lo ::1/128 :: Un 0 1 4887 lo 2001:6a8:200:32::2/128 :: Un 0 1 0 lo fe80::8f81:8372/128 :: Un 0 1 0 lo ff00::/8 :: U 256 0 0 sixxs ::/0 :: !n -1 1 3122 lo "ping6 2001:6a8:200:32::2" (myself) works, "ping6 2001:6a8:200:32::1" (pop) doesn't, "ping6 2a00:1450:400c:c01::6a" (google) also doesn't. "aiccu test" does nothing, it just stops after a couple of seconds with returncode 0. If i give the real networkcard a ipv6 and another system in the lan also then they can also ping each other. I'm NGB2-SIXXS , my e-mail is nikolas.garofil@ua.ac.be (and the one listed in my userinfo), the server i want to connect runs at 143.129.131.114 This is what i get after starting aiccu: Tunnel Information for T62329: POP Id : bebru02 IPv6 Local : 2001:6a8:200:32::2/64 IPv6 Remote : 2001:6a8:200:32::1/64 Tunnel Type : ayiya Adminstate : enabled Userstate : enabled The aiccu config (comments, passwords and empty lines removed): username NGB2-SIXXS protocol tic server tic.sixxs.net ipv6_interface sixxs tunnel_id T62329 verbose true daemonize true automatic true requiretls false Any ideas ?

Last Beat : 2011-06-09 20:13:31 (13291756 seconds ago) As such, no valid packet was received for quite a while. Check those filters in your network. It would be useful to include traceroutes etc btw.

it used to be a tunnel that i created for myself for different testing purposes (personal instead of workrelated) but i stopped using it so it seemed like a good idea to use this one instead of creating a new one, thats why the last beat is so long ago

i think i made a mistake when i told you that the firewall of the university wasnt blocking the ports, i did some tests with nmap and now i'am actually pretty sure that it is blocked so thats probably the problem. I am meeting the persons responsible for the firewall monday, i will tell you if everything works after they open UDP/5072 and TCP/3874
