Packet loss
[nl] Shadow Hawkins on Thursday, 07 July 2011 22:44:10
I am getting high IPv6 packet loss to my host. This is not constant, but rather has periods of nearly 0% loss and periods of 100% loss. I see this externally, and it is visible on the MRT graphs on SixXS as well. (Please ignore the 100% loss from today - the box was offline for a few hours for unrelated reasons.) The tunnel is not using AICCU, but rather a static tunnel. If it helps, I can start a background "ping" and/or "ping6" running and capture the output over a couple of days.

Mtr would be a better idea, though if there is something that is dropping proto-41 that would not become visible, but maybe it shows at least from your side where the packets start getting dropped. What is strange is that your IPv4 traceroute does not finish, the way back works though:

Okay, please close this ticket. It turns out that there is severe IPv4 packet loss on this host! Apologies for the noise.
