Tunnel not working
[fr] Shadow Hawkins on Wednesday, 06 October 2010 01:11:28
Hi, Since frmrs01 came back, my tunnel T18765 does not work : I do not receive any packet in tunnel. I send them, but no answer back ping of IPv4 pop address works, thus it is not a connectivity problem. I am Erwan David (EDO2-SIXXS), and my tunnel is a static one at IP 82.227.34.188 System : debian squeeze. I know other people on that pop who got their tunnel back.

That you can do something with IPv4 ICMP does not mean protocol 41 is not filtered/broken in one way or another. At the moment your endpoint seems to work thus something seems to have changed that this problem, if it was there, has been resolved. Please though, the next time that you report a problem included all the information as requested. "It is broken" is not good enough and does not give us any ability to pinpoint issues.

Yes it now works. But not receiving anything, I did not find what I could precise other this. Next time I'll put "not receiving any packet" as subject.

Changing the subject is irrelevant, you will need to supply actual running configuration details, see that big orange box when posting which points to the contact page's "Reporting Problems Checklist". Without the items requested there there is nothing much we can see as we do not have access to your computer, and we don't want to either. It is your problem if it does not work, if you report it properly, we can look into the problem and check if our side is at fault and then resolve the problem. If you have configuration questions, please use the forums instead.
