Not able to connect to an IPV6 server
[gb] Shadow Hawkins on Sunday, 18 July 2010 16:57:53
I have read and followed the "Reporting Problems" section on the Contact page. I am removing these five pre-filled lines to demonstrate that I really read it. I am providing the full details as requested on the mentioned Contact page. If I do not remove this, then please ignore this message as I didn't read it anyway. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------>8 I have noticed since this morning I am unable to connect to the ipv6 server reader.ipv6.xsnews.nl from my tunnel. I can ping it no problem using the London sixxs tunnel but not connect and download posts. I can download posts using another ipv6 tunnel provider but for some reason not the sixxs one. Up until last night (when i last used this server) is was working perfectly for me. Could you please look into this for me and let me know the outcome?

I would say that "it" is broken. Really, without the information requested we cannot help at all. Also note that we do not operate the remote server you are referring to thus we cannot resolve any problems that they might have with it.

Hi, thanks for your reply, I recently had a new tunnel request turned down, would it be possible for you to look at this again so I can try the server through a new tunnel?

We do not approve tunnel requests which contain false informations. Lying about the location of your server is one of them. In case you have a problem with our service, then properly provide the details and we can look into resolving it. When the problem though lies at a server that is not under our control, then there is not much we can do about it.

Ok, the reason I said "my ipv6 server" was because I didn't really want to put ipv6-news-server. The other issue about not pulling my full line speed is true, my full line speed is 2.4MB/s and through the sixxs tunnel I average around 1.7MB/s that was until this morning when I noticed it had stopped working. I know the ipv6-news-server can give me my line speed as it does this with another ipv6 tunnel service, but this other service seem to cap speeds when ever they please and they almost always seem to do this when i need to use the service. As for providing the details I already stated that I can ping the ipv6-news-server without any problem but the error i get in the news client is "Failed to connect: (10060, "(10060, 'Operation timed out')") 4@reader.ipv6.xsnews.nl:119" other than this information I do not know what other information I an provide you with. So that is the main reason I requested another tunnel from you in a different country as the only tunnel available in my country is not working for me.

As stated, contact the operator of that service, we are not them.

Strange, you state "through the sixxs tunnel I average around 1.7MB/s", isn't that good enough for you. Also, we really do not accept people who lie to us.
