Why did I get a penalty of 15 ISK for moving my endpoint
[de] Shadow Hawkins on Tuesday, 04 May 2010 14:53:41
I had to move my tunnel endpoint IP, this cost me 15 ISK, although the form says moving the tunnel IP is free. My firewall did not allow me to establish the tunnel on the first IP so I had to move it. Sorry for the inconvenience Gerald

I found in your price list, that moving the endpoint IP costs 15 ISK as well, I read the form that only changing the tunnel type cost 15 points. I updated the Fortigate section of the wiki about Fortigate configuration with vdoms and vdom-link interfaces (This is why I had to change my endpoint IP) Again sorry for the inconvenience Gerald

Why this ticket?
Why did I get a penalty of 15 ISK for moving my endpoint

I opened the ticket, because I did not understand why it cost my 15 ISK to change the endpoint address. Then I found out that tunnel form is at least misleading. So it would be nice to say in the tunnel form that not only changing the tunnel type costs 15 ISK but also changing the endpoint IP. It would be even nicer, to get back the 15 ISK, as I explained in the wiki, that it is not possible to establish an ipv6 tunnel on a fortigate vdom link (This is what I tried first, and why I had to change the endpoint IP) I hope I could explain my request now! Gerald

Unfortunately we cannot repeat everything everywhere.

changing the tunnel type costs 15 ISK but also changing the endpoint IP.
Effectively it is the same action, which is why it was previously omitted there.

Changing things cost credits, that you are trying to terminate a tunnel on an endpoint that actually does not support it is not something we can do about. Please do not open tickets for these kind of things and use info@sixxs.net.
