hearbeat problem with aiccu
[de] Carmen Sandiego on Sunday, 10 January 2010 18:30:52
Hello all, i have one problem with the aiccu client; so im using an ayiya tunnel - behind nat and with a dynamic ipv4. After the 24hours disonnect my ipv6 endpoint is not ping able - i tried to restart aiccu - and it works - the ipv6 endpoint answers again. i think the hearbeat wouldn't tell the new ipv4. All options in the config are true - like "automatic, daemonize, behindnat, heartbeats" but it doesnt work? Should i enable the verbose mode and look what happens? Are there any known problems or something else? TunnelId: T24743 Cheers Matthias Nill

Which version, what operating system, where did you get it?

AYIYA or heartbeat? The first updates per-packet, thus then it should not be an issue. The latter only every heartbeat which might be only once per minute or even more, depending on the PoP and what TIC requests it to be.
All options in the config are true
What are the exact options?
- like "automatic, daemonize, behindnat, heartbeats"
'automatic' is only that it automatically sets the tunnel up, just a UI switch. 'daemonize', backgrounds it or not, which one might want to have or not. 'behindnat' is a UI switch if it needs to warn the user (only used by the GUI version) What is "heartbeats?
but it doesnt work?
What exactly does not work?
Should i enable the verbose mode and look what happens?
If you had read the contact page you would know the answer to this, and all above questions.
Are there any known problems or something else?
See the ticket tracker.

Hello,
Which version, what operating system, where did you get it?
its AICCU 2007.01.15-console-linux by Jeroen Massar on a Debian Lenny System with a 2.6.26-2-686 Kernel - i get it via aptitude install aiccu.
AYIYA or heartbeat?
Its an AYIYA Tunnel.
What are the exact options?
This options are on true: "daemonize true | automatic true | makebeats true | behindnat true"
What exactly does not work?
It does not work to have a Stable tunnel after the 24hour disconnect from my Internet Service Provider. I should restart the "AICCU Client" after the 24hour disconnect - for a working Tunnel. Is this regular? thanks in advance for your help Regards Matthias Nill
