Tunnel keeps having 100% loss
[de] Shadow Hawkins on Friday, 31 July 2009 17:06:59
I have read and followed the "Reporting Problems" section on the Contact page. I am removing these four pre-filled lines to demonstrate that I really read it. I am providing the full details as asked on the above mentioned page. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------>8 My tunnel keeps having 100% loss, but i can ping6 ipv6.google.com and have reconfigured the tunnel as described in the manual, but the graph says it does not work as it should.

Try reading the first three lines, and the information it points too, then try again.
but i can ping6 ipv6.google.com
Unless, the PoP suddenly turned into ipv6.google.com (which it didn't), then what has that to do with anything. The PoP (tunnel::1) pings you (tunnel::2) and that is it.
the manual
Which "manual" ? If you mean the FAQ, then clearly, as seen from the first three lines, you did not read it.

hm, still experimenting. the tunnel seems to work for me, but the webpage says i am not pingable. but if i receive "pong"-packets from google, the tunnel must be working for me?

No. Try to actually read and provide the requested details. As this is a problem on your side, use the forums, as it is not a problem that we can fix for you, especially not as you are clearly not interested in providing any useful details. Then again, you will get the same answer in the forums.

Why is it my fault, when a working tunnel stops working on its own? But at the moment it seems to work again (without a change on my side, again).

seems to work without a problem at the moment, so ticket can be closed. if the problem occurs again without any change on my side, i will post full details next time.

Please actually try reading the FAQ and that big yellow box that is informing you to... read the FAQ and actually provide details. We are not psychics and are not going to solve your problem. As you are stating 'I didn't change anything, now it works', check that nice FAQ item on Connection trackers, as that is the most generally hit problem. See the Forum for further discussions.

As said above, the problem seems resolved by now. And i understand, that my ticket was posted without reading enough and i will do better next time. Sorry for wasting you time.
