Uptime Counter resets / no tunnel connection
[de] Shadow Hawkins on Saturday, 01 March 2014 10:14:00
Hi! I created an Ayiya tunnel to connect a mobile client with my home fritzbox. After creation of the tunnel, the statistic said yesterday "Uptime: 1 days" and I was using it from my PC. Today that counter went back to 0 days. After configuring my fritz!box 7330 today with the newest Firmware, I realized that also the newest Firmware needs a heartbeat tunnel. So I changed the endpoint protocol to heartbeat. This results in -5 ISK. So, my first question is: is there a bug which resets dynamic tunnel uptimes every 24 hours / after a reconnect? Another Problem, which occurs: My tunnel status says it is enabled but the live tunnel Status says "down". I guess the state will Change after a successful connect. I did some configurations on my fritz!box to use the sixxs tunnel for IPv6. After first trouble accodring user credentials (Username, Password, Tunnel ID does not work, but: TIC Login (username/tunnelid) + Tunnel Id + TIC Password seems to work) my fritzbox tries to connect to the tunnel. Before I changed the tunnel type to heartbeat, an error messsage "heartbeat required" occured. Now, after changing the tunnel type to heartbeat, my fitz!box does not connect to the tunnel. Without any error Messages. Does anyone may have hints or idea, why I cant't connect to the tunnel from my fritzbox?

Ok, now my Fritz!box connects to the tunnel. It receives a v6 address: mysubnet::2. I also set the tunnel endpoint (mysubnet::1) as a dns entry and an additional public Google dns Server (the box forced me to use 2 addresses^^). But the pop live tunnel state is still down. If I test my ip (www.wieistmeineip.de), I only have an IPv4 address, no IPv6 address. Did I miss something on my config?

Ok, I was able to activate the heartbeat tunnel via a remote direct client connect. But I still have no IPv6 Adress assigned.....

Please ask your questions in the forums, there does not seem to be any report about an infrastructure problem on the SixXS side, thus there is nothing for us to do with this.

What kind of "bug" would be where? What kind of "reconnects"?
My tunnel status says it is enabled but the live tunnel Status says "down". I guess the state will Change after a successful connect.
Correct, as it indicates liveness.

You should contact AVM about this, we have no insight to the internals of their implementation or their error reporting.
