To whom it may concern, My handle is JDR42-ARIN, my main tunnel is T21027 and the subnet through that is R8913. I just had my tunnel and subnet setup in the last couple of days. Everything was working fine until the last hour or two. My main tunnel has an endpoint of 2001:4978:f:32e::2 and uses 2001:4978:f:32e::1 as its gateway. From inside my network, I can successfully ping6 2001:4978:f:32e::1. However, I can not ping6 to any public sites. From outside my network, I can not ping6 to either 2001:4978:f:32e::1 or 2001:4978:f:32e::2 even though I can pin6 to other public sites. Here is some info that might be useful to you: Here is a traceroute from outside my network to my tunnel endpoint: traceroute6 -n 2001:4978:f:32e::2 traceroute to 2001:4978:f:32e::2 (2001:4978:f:32e::2), 30 hops max, 40 byte packets 1 * * * 2 2001:440:1239:1016::2 59.997 ms 59.997 ms 59.997 ms 3 2001:440:eeee:ffa4::2 147.992 ms 147.992 ms 147.992 ms 4 2001:470:0:51::1 147.992 ms 147.992 ms 147.992 ms 5 2001:470:0:37::1 147.992 ms 147.992 ms 147.992 ms 6 2001:470:0:4e::1 171.991 ms 171.991 ms 171.991 ms 7 2001:470:0:7f::2 163.991 ms !X 159.992 ms !X 163.992 ms !X Here is a traceroute from inside my network to a public ip: traceroute6 to ipv6.l.google.com (2001:4860:b002::68) from 2001:4978:f:32e::2, 64 hops max, 12 byte packets 1 2001:4978:f:32e::1 72.877 ms 73.689 ms 73.279 ms 2 * * * 3 * * * 4 * * * 5 * * * 6 * * * Here is a ping to my tunnel gateway from inside my network: ping6 2001:4978:f:32e::1 PING6(56=40+8+8 bytes) 2001:4978:f:32e::2 --> 2001:4978:f:32e::1 16 bytes from 2001:4978:f:32e::1, icmp_seq=0 hlim=64 time=74.313 ms 16 bytes from 2001:4978:f:32e::1, icmp_seq=1 hlim=64 time=70.038 ms 16 bytes from 2001:4978:f:32e::1, icmp_seq=2 hlim=64 time=69.654 ms 16 bytes from 2001:4978:f:32e::1, icmp_seq=3 hlim=64 time=67.867 ms 16 bytes from 2001:4978:f:32e::1, icmp_seq=4 hlim=64 time=71.01 ms ^C --- 2001:4978:f:32e::1 ping6 statistics --- 5 packets transmitted, 5 packets received, 0.0% packet loss round-trip min/avg/max/std-dev = 67.867/70.576/74.313/2.128 ms Here is a ping to my tunnel endpoint from outside my network: ping6 2001:4978:f:32e::2 PING 2001:4978:f:32e::2(2001:4978:f:32e::2) 56 data bytes From 2001:470:0:7f::2 icmp_seq=6 Destination unreachable: Administratively prohibited --- 2001:4978:f:32e::2 ping statistics --- 14 packets transmitted, 0 received, +1 errors, 100% packet loss, time 12999ms It looks like the problem is inside the pop, my firewall is not reporting any blocked packets, and it had been working.
