No statistics while tunnel is up and pingable
[nl] Shadow Hawkins on Monday, 30 March 2009 14:46:45
I have read and followed the "Reporting Problems" section on the Contact page and am providing the following details for this report based on the list of items stated there: Hello, I have configured a tunnel from 93.125.236.96 to PoP nlhaa01 with tunnel-id T20446 and IPv6 address 2001:1af8:fe00:db::2. My IPv6 address is pingable from the internet and I can ping several other IPv6 addresses such as ipv6.google.com and noc.sixxs.net. Everything looks OK, but my statistics don't. The statistics shows a packetloss of 100% and the latency is zero. I'm afraid that my tunnel will be removed after 7 days, which I don't want. I also want to do a request for a subnet after 7 days, but I don't think I get the points if the statistics shows that my tunnel is not OK. Hopefully you can help me with this problem or can explain why the statistics shows this result. With regards, Marco van Gijssel

No statistics while tunnel is up and pingable

Please read the "Reporting Problems" section on the Contact page and actually provide the requested details. Your endpoint is not pingable from the PoP (2001:1af8:fe00:db::1) and that is where the tests are made from. Especially check your routing tables, most likely you don't have a proper route back to it.
No statistics while tunnel is up and pingable

The problem is solved. Finally the problem was that I had to made an extra route entry (set route 2001:1af8:fe00:db::1/128 interface tunnel.1 gateway :: preference 20) on my Netscreen. It looks strange to me, because my IPv6 was pingable from the internet and I can ping IPv6 addresses on the internet. The only thing I couldn't was pinging my default gateway (???). Whith the extra route entry I can. Thanks for all your help. With regards, Marco van Gijssel
