Everything should be fine, but no connection
[fi] Shadow Hawkins on Tuesday, 30 March 2004 12:26:26
Here's my config-script in /etc/network/interfaces
auto sixxs iface sixxs inet6 v4tunnel address 2001:14b8:100:40::2 netmask 64 endpoint 62.78.96.38 ttl 64 up ip link set mtu 1280 dev sixxs up ip route add 2000::/3 via 2001:14b8:100:40::1 dev sixxs
But I still cant ping or connect ipv6-enabled sites or nothing. This is what ip -6 route says:
2001:14b8:100:40::/64 via :: dev sixxs proto kernel metric 256 mtu 1280 advmss 1220 2000::/3 via 2001:14b8:100:40::1 dev sixxs metric 1024 mtu 1280 advmss 1220 fe80::/10 via :: dev sixxs proto kernel metric 256 mtu 1280 advmss 1220 ff00::/8 dev sixxs proto kernel metric 256 mtu 1280 advmss 1220 unreachable default dev lo metric -1 error -101 advmss 1220
Heres interfaces:
eth0 Link encap:Ethernet HWaddr 08:00:09C:76:2E inet addr:192.168.xxx.xxx Bcast:192.168.0.255 Mask:255.255.255.0 UP BROADCAST RUNNING MULTICAST MTU:1500 Metric:1 RX packets:68113283 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 frame:216 TX packets:88206627 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:547 carrier:0 collisions:2 txqueuelen:100 eth1 Link encap:Ethernet HWaddr 00:30:EB:C0:31:E6 inet addr:80.223.xxx.xxx Bcast:80.223.31.255 Mask:255.255.240.0 UP BROADCAST RUNNING MULTICAST MTU:1500 Metric:1 RX packets:145497648 errors:12 dropped:0 overruns:0 frame:0 TX packets:153214441 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 carrier:0 collisions:0 txqueuelen:100 lo Link encap:Local Loopback inet addr:127.0.0.1 Mask:0.0.0.0 UP LOOPBACK RUNNING MTU:16436 Metric:1 RX packets:2990395 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 frame:0 TX packets:2990395 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 carrier:0 collisions:0 txqueuelen:0 RX bytes:454318365 (433.2 MiB) TX bytes:454318365 (433.2 MiB) sixxs Link encap:IPv6-in-IPv4 inet6 addr: fe80::50df:1b4b/10 Scope:Link inet6 addr: 2001:14b8:100:40::2/64 Scope:Global inet6 addr: fe80::c0a8:1/10 Scope:Link UP POINTOPOINT RUNNING NOARP MTU:1280 Metric:1 RX packets:640 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 frame:0 TX packets:686 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 carrier:0 collisions:0 txqueuelen:0 RX bytes:66560 (65.0 KiB) TX bytes:87008 (84.9 KiB)

Can't even ping6 my SixXS IPv6 end. And this is what tcpdump said:
22:09:31.641508 cl-65.hel-01.fi.sixxs.net > linz.irc.at: icmp6: echo request 22:09:32.655242 cl-65.hel-01.fi.sixxs.net > linz.irc.at: icmp6: echo request 22:09:33.655539 cl-65.hel-01.fi.sixxs.net > linz.irc.at: icmp6: echo request 22:09:34.655267 cl-65.hel-01.fi.sixxs.net > linz.irc.at: icmp6: echo request 22:09:35.655246 cl-65.hel-01.fi.sixxs.net > linz.irc.at: icmp6: echo request ...
Kernel didn't drop any packets.

trying linz.irc.at irc? have asked for I-lines there? irc.cc.tut.fi works for me without asking I-lines... running on windows 2000 professional.

Nothing anymore. ifdown lo; ifup lo; fixed everything :) --- irc.cc.tut.fi ping statistics --- 10 packets transmitted, 10 received, 0% packet loss, time 9095ms rtt min/avg/max/mdev = 34.617/35.408/36.406/0.577 ms
