nlams04 gateway reachable from server
[nl] Shadow Hawkins on Saturday, 08 June 2013 13:05:50
Hi there, Since a couple of days I've been having problems with one of my V6 tunnels. For some reason I can't reach the gateway (2001:960:2:5bf::1) from my server and vice versa I can't reach my server (2001:960:2:5bf::2) from the outside. Even without any firewalling no packages seem to get through even though tcpdump tells me it's sending perfectly fine (including ping requests). I did notice in the tunnel stats that the "Loss statistics" dropped from 100% to 0% as off 22:00ish on the 4th of June. As nothing changed around that time on my end I'm suspecting nlams04 (the POP I use) is having some issues... or at least with my connection. Obviously AICCU fires up nicely without any problems and everything looks ok. Suggestions are welcome! Cheers, Matthijs

Suggestions are welcome!
What about reading that big yellow box and the link it points to and providing the details requested on the contact page? :) According to the Live Tunnel Status, amongst others: Last Heartbeat : 2013-06-04 20:01:44 (1370376104; 3 days 17:47:59 ago) Clock Off : 5399, last: 77.249.128.127 2013-06-08 13:49:36 (1370699376; 0 days 00:00:07 ago) As such, you might want to fix your clock....

That's indeed a very good suggestion, apologies for not providing the full monty :)

I noticed that as well and manually forced a ntp resync which adjusted the clock by about 0.002s (which isn't out of the ordinary for this server). About 1.5 hour later the tunnel automagically started working again. Since then the ntp adjustments have been up to 0.0035s without the tunnel dropping out. Anyway all is working fine since yesterday afternoon (Clock Off5425, last: 77.249.128.127 2013-06-08 14:15:36 (1370700936; 0 days 20:56:38 ago)) so the problem seems have been resolved. Which is too bad since now I have one less excuse the replace the server's hardware :) Thanks for the support! Kind regards, Matthijs
