Strange routing problem
[nl] Shadow Hawkins on Thursday, 30 October 2003 20:33:26
I got my IPv6 setup for some months now, everything seems to work fine, surfing tracerouting but totday I did some tracerouting from the internet and some weird thing happened: When a friend of mine does a traceroute, it works fine
Tracing route to robin.ipv6.testje.nl.eu.org [3ffe:8114:2000:1cf0:210:b5ff:feff:ee65] over a maximum of 30 hops: 1 40 ms 39 ms 41 ms tb-exit.ipv6.btexact.com [2001:618:400::1] 2 41 ms 44 ms 43 ms leanet-core-uk6x-a1-0-1.ipv6.btexact.com [2001:618:1::3] 3 80 ms 78 ms 85 ms P1-0.LON6AR1.London.ipv6.opentransit.net [2001:688:0:2:1::1] 4 84 ms 79 ms 82 ms A5-1-0.100.PAS6AR1.Paris.ipv6.opentransit.net [2001:688:0:2:1::c] 5 150 ms 129 ms 126 ms P4-0-0.BRU6AR1.Brussels.ipv6.opentransit.net [2001:688:0:2:1::3] 6 53 ms * 53 ms 3ffe:80b0:1000:0:260:5cff:fef3:913f 7 149 ms 160 ms 159 ms 2001:730::1:4 8 156 ms 162 ms 166 ms 2001:730::1:d 9 111 ms 113 ms 121 ms 3ffe:8010:2c::2 10 127 ms 112 ms * ipng.nl [2001:6e0::250:4ff:fe4a:7708] 11 137 ms * 139 ms 3ffe:8114:1000::65b 12 145 ms 154 ms 140 ms 3ffe:8114:2000:1cf0:210:b5ff:feff:ee65
when I use the Traceroute here on Sixxs I can't get past 3ffe:8114:1000::65b
traceroute to 3ffe:8114:2000:1cf0:210:b5ff:feff:ee65 (3ffe:8114:2000:1cf0:210:b5ff:feff:ee65) from 2001:838:1:1:210:dcff:fe20:7c7c, 30 hops max, 16 byte packets 1 fe0.breda.ipv6.concepts-ict.net (2001:838:1:1::1) 0.346 ms 0.306 ms 0.257 ms 2 se2.ams-ix.ipv6.concepts-ict.net (2001:838:0:10::1) 4.344 ms 3.278 ms 3.843 ms 3 nikhef.ams-ix.ipv6.intouch.net (2001:7f8:1::a500:8954:1) 5.009 ms 4.266 ms 4.54 ms 4 ipng.nl (2001:6e0::250:4ff:fe4a:7708) 5.504 ms 7.054 ms 7.007 ms 5 cl-814.ams-02.nl.sixxs.net (3ffe:8114:1000::65b) 59.725 ms * 29.355 ms 6 * * *
It worked before, and I didn't made any changes to my configuration, except from reinstalling my Client box (WindowsXP), but it is only a client (not the router), ICMP is enabled in the Firewall what can be wrong?
