AICCU on Ubuntu 6.06 (Server)

Hi, i tried to install AICCU on my ubuntu 6.06 Server machine. So i added the repos mentioned to my sources list, found aiccu in my packetmanager and got some errors: SixXS Automatic IPv6 Connectivity Client Utility Some dependencies of aiccu are not satisfied: aiccu depends on libc6 (>= 2.3.6-6) [UNAVAILABLE] aiccu depends on libgnutls13 (>= 1.4.0-0) [UNAVAILABLE] So what to do now? Is there an alternative?

At least two options: - Upgrade to a newer distribution, libgnutls12 has a severe security issue which is why 13 is recommended. - Compile from source (do comment out libgnutls13 then as there is a hard depend in the debian/control file

Thanks a lot! Upgrading to another distribution is not an option. So I now got a package built with "apt-get -b source aiccu" by installing debhelper and libgnutls-dev. The package is build correct, but like you said it cannot be installed because of a dependy to lgbgnutls13. So how do I remove it? Or can i simply install it with --ignore-depends ?

No-depends might work as there is a hardcoded dependency on libgnutls13 while you compiled it against libgnutls12. Upgrading those packages is advised though. You don't need to upgrade to another distribution, but upgrading to for instance 6.10 which has been out for some while already might be a good idea.
