Installing a router
[nl] Carmen Sandiego on Saturday, 05 April 2003 18:57:07
Hi, I have my ipv6 tunnel working (XP pc directly connected to the DSL modem). Now I want to put back my E-Tech router so I can connect the LAN to the IPv6 tunnel. The router will get the public ip address I used to set up the tunnel and it has a build in firewall. So now I have to port forward the packets for the tunnel to my XP (or later Linux) machine to terminate the tunnel. What do I need to do and to which port are the tunnel packets send? Remco

Google on E-Tech and get the manual and forward proto 41. You could also check the FAQ which contains a link to the work of the EuroSix group which is identifying on how to configure SOHO 'routers' to allow tunnels through these NAT boxes.
