I wanted tospilt the routes on my 3 tunnels. But iam having problems with it. I got : 2001:960:2:14::2 ( SixXs ) 3ffe:80ee:9e4::1 ( XS26 ) 2001:618:4:10c3::1 ( ipng.uk ) So lets try some tracert6: To SixXS: Tracing route to gw-21.ams-04.nl.sixxs.net [2001:960:2:14::1] from 2001:960:2:14::2 over a maximum of 30 hops: 1 54 ms 53 ms 53 ms v6-tunnel-ipng-org-uk.ipv6.btexact.co[2001:7f8:2:c001::3] 2 61 ms 67 ms 77 ms v6-tunnel33-uk6x.ipv6.btexact.com[2001:7f8:2:800f::2] 3 62 ms 46 ms 47 ms v6-tunnel-chello.ipv6.btexact.com[2001:7f8:2:800f::3] 4 46 ms 47 ms 56 ms 2001:7f8:1::a501:2634:1 5 46 ms 46 ms 45 ms gw-21.ams-04.nl.sixxs.net [2001:960:2:14::1] Trace complete. ------------------ To ipng.uk Tracing route to gif255.tunnels.ipng.org.uk [2001:618:4:2000::2cf] from 2001:618:4:10c3::1 over a maximum of 30 hops: 1 46 ms 47 ms 53 ms gif255.tunnels.ipng.org.uk [2001:618:4:2000::2cf] Trace complete. ------------------ To xs26: Tracing route to xs26.net [3ffe:80ef:a00::] from 3ffe:80ee:9e4::1 over a maximum of 30 hops: 1 70 ms 74 ms 69 ms v6-tunnel-ipng-org-uk.ipv6.btexact.com [2001:7f8:2:c001::3] 2 70 ms 69 ms 64 ms v6-tunnel33-uk6x.ipv6.btexact.com [2001:7f8:2:800f::2] 3 70 ms 80 ms 67 ms v6-tunnel-chello.ipv6.btexact.com [2001:7f8:2:800f::3] 4 67 ms 70 ms 62 ms dkcop-0a-00.pop.xs26.net [3ffe:80ef:a00::] Trace complete. ------------------- That shows that when i tracert6 to the SixXS tunnel , it goes over the Xs26 route, not only it goes over 4 extra hops, but the latency varies from 50 to about 300 ms more. To prove that, i try to tracert6 again to 2001:960:2:14::1, which is the SixS end ip6, only that this time I only have this tunnel enabled. The result is: Tracing route to gw-21.ams-04.nl.sixxs.net [2001:960:2:14::1] from 2001:960:2:14::3 over a maximum of 30 hops: 1 33 ms 33 ms 33 ms gw-21.ams-04.nl.sixxs.net [2001:960:2:14::1] Trace complete. Is there a way to have all tunnels enabled, but still keep the tunnels routed over the best route possible ? any help is apreciated.

Hi again. I think I got it fixed. To ipng.uk.org end ip: Tracing route to gif255.tunnels.ipng.org.uk [2001:618:4:2000::2cf] from 2001:618:4:10c3::5 over a maximum of 30 hops: 1 350 ms 104 ms 117 ms 2001:6c8:0:fffd::f 2 98 ms 106 ms 99 ms 2001:730::1:25 3 116 ms 99 ms 108 ms nl-ams-re-02-t-chello-se.ipv6.aorta.net[2001:730::1:24] 4 112 ms 150 ms 97 ms gif255.tunnels.ipng.org.uk [2001:618:4:2000::2cf] Trace complete. --------------- To xs.26 end ip: Tracing route to xs26.net [3ffe:80ef:a00::] from 3ffe:80ee:9e4::3 over a maximum of 30 hops: 1 17 ms 48 ms 20 ms dkcop-0a-00.pop.xs26.net [3ffe:80ef:a00::] Trace complete. --------------- To SixXS end ip: Tracing route to gw-21.ams-04.nl.sixxs.net [2001:960:2:14::1] from 2001:960:2:14::3 over a maximum of 30 hops: 1 33 ms 64 ms 38 ms gw-21.ams-04.nl.sixxs.net [2001:960:2:14::1] Trace complete. --------------- As you can see , big diference, and the latency will get even lower when iam not using my bandwithd max , like iam now. "Thou shalt not use tunnels as transit" Or in FAQ style: FAQ : I have some other tunnels on my machine and now it doesn't work

Has I said, its fixed. No need to take extreme meassures about that :) The post was intent to seek help,Obviously If the misconfigured routing leds to deletation of the tunnel, it seems clear to me that one of the right places to ask for help would be in the forums.( i did learned otherwise ). If all this seems completly off-topic , Please delete these treads. Bye.

No deletion as you can't abuse it at all :) And seeing that many apparently people can't configure it alas...
