Win2000 and Browser problem
[nl] Shadow Hawkins on Tuesday, 29 March 2005 15:28:17
I'm using a Linux Gentoo router with Radvd. All my clients get a good IP in the subnet and all clients running Linux,WinXP are doing well. The problem occurs with the Win2000 prof client. This clients gets a good IP and is able to send a IP6 ping to kame.net or doing a tracert6 to a IPv6 host. So that part works. But as soon as I use a application like browser or telnet. I can't reach any of the hosts. Can somebody push me in the right direction?

Check the Windows FAQ, that contains a number of installers, one of which contains a modded netinet.dll which should thus cause your browser to do IPv6. Notez bien... better upgrade to XP SP2 + hotfixes, as with Win2k, especially with those old versions, you are a sitting duck for the nasty people out there.
