ZoneCheck broken, or me?
[us] Shadow Hawkins on Wednesday, 10 December 2008 19:51:44
I added a reverse DNS zone for my /48 (2001:1938:209::) last night. ZoneCheck is reporting that it is "Unable to find primary nameserver (SOA)": https://www.sixxs.net/tools/zonecheck/?zone=9.0.2.0.8.3.9.1.1.0.0.2.ip6.arpa However, dig +trace clearly shows that the reverse mapping works fine, and I've had other people do reverse lookups on my IPv6 addresses to verify, and they get the proper response. So is ZoneCheck broken or am I missing something very obvious?

9.0.2.0.8.3.9.1.1.0.0.2.ip6.arpa. 604800 IN NS ns1.pulsaraviation.com. ns1.pulsaraviation.com. 548890 IN CNAME zoe.pulsaraviation.com. zoe.pulsaraviation.com. 548890 IN A 71.160.206.211 That is not good, an NS record is not allowed to point to a CNAME.
