Wiki broken over HTTPS?
[se] Shadow Hawkins on Monday, 13 October 2008 02:11:47
I can't seem to login to the wiki with https. i just get a whitepage and no data at all. This effectivly makes the wiki unusable for logged in users. Anyone else experiencing the same problem?

Yes, I have seen the problem. I found that when this happens, my browser made an IPv4 connection, and the transparent squid got in the way. I think the problem might be related to a faulty DNS server. Are you by chance using maradns? Does the problem stay if you use another DNS server, like 213.203.238.4?

tried using the IP provided in your post in my resolver config. and nope same result. i run a local BIND 9.4.0P2 also for your information. It only seems to happen as soon as i hit that magical login link. if i don't login i can browse the wiki fine in https.

Please elaborate on how you can not login. Where exactly do you try to login? What is the URL? What is the browser? Are you using IPv4 or IPv6, etc etc etc.

Login link: https://www.sixxs.net/wiki/?title=Special:UserLogin&returnto=SixXS_Wiki Browser: Firefox 3.0.3 on Linux 2.6.26 Connection is made over IPv6 as confirmed with tcpdump. Steps to reproduce. 1. Click the "Wiki" link next to the Forum link on SixXS mainpage. 2. Click the "login" link in the top-right. 3. Whitepage returned on first and subsequent attempts to view the page over https. It seems that after awhile when the session times out on the wiki i can browse the wiki again over https but in an non-logged in state only. any attempts to login will bring me back to the same problem.

That URL redirects to https://www.sixxs.net/home/ as we use SixXS authentication and not MediaWiki authentication. Can you capture the packets for this and put that file somewhere and then contact info@sixxs.net?
