Split /48 in two for two sites?
[ch] Shadow Hawkins on Wednesday, 24 January 2007 15:13:23
I saw that it is possible to have more than one tunnel. Since I have two sites I wondered if it is possible to have a subnet on both tunnels. The /48 would be more than enough so in theory could be split into two subnets, but this would probably cause administative overhead. If splitting is not possible is it allowed to request another subnet for the second tunnel?

Of course that is allowed. Does anything indicate that it would not be? Only criteria is that you should earn enough credits, but for the rest, enjoy.

I'm not really sure how this would work. If you have two different sites and two different tunnels, how can your assigned subnet be routed to the two different tunnels at the same time?

It is one subnet (/48) per tunnel :) they won't be splitted indeed.
