Moving to different country
[de] Carmen Sandiego on Friday, 06 May 2011 15:01:27
Hi all, I moved from Germany to Switzerland and so did my subnet as well as my tunnel endpoint. What is the best way to go? Is it ok to keep the subnet and the tunnel endpoint in germany and update only the handle? Or should I request a new tunnel to a swiss broker as well as a subnet from there and then delete the old one? Kr, Oliver

You definitely need to update the handle, see the FAQ. As for the tunnel/subnet, most likely for latency reasons and traffic-redirection and possibly even legal issues, you might want to request a new tunnel/subnet from one of the Swiss PoPs. It of course depends a bit on how long you are going to stick around, if it is only for a short time or the latency does not sink a lot it might not be entirely worth the effort.
