Tunnel slow to establish and drops after awhile
[us] Shadow Hawkins on Friday, 11 November 2005 21:24:49
Hello, I set up my tunnel on my router (a WRT54g) running the Talisman 1.11 firmware this weekend. I've found after aiccu starts, it takes about 10s - 5mins before the tunnel will actually allow me to ping my POP (or any other ipv6 address.) After it's up, it works well for awhile, then if I don't have any outgoing traffic for a few minutes, it shuts down again. If I set a steady ping to my POP, it never drops. I understand from the FAQ that if no heartbeats for 300s it will disable the tunnel, however I do see the heartbeats going out... Is this normal behavior? Thanks! -Mike

WRT54g is known to have bad clocks, so check your date on the machine. Next to that read Contact - Reporting Problems.
