In the aiccu binary for linux, version "AICCU 2007.01.15-console-linux by Jeroen Massar" noc.sixxs.net is used for step 7 of aiccu test This gives ###### [7/8] Traceroute6 to the central SixXS machine (noc.sixxs.net) ### This confirms that you can reach the central machine of SixXS ### If that one is reachable you should be able to reach most IPv6 destinations ### Also check http://www.sixxs.net/ipv6calc/ which should show an IPv6 connection ### If your browser supports IPv6 and uses it of course. noc.sixxs.net: Name or service unknown Cannot handle "host" cmdline arg `noc.sixxs.net' on position 1 (argc 1) The tunnel is up and otherwise running, it is just the hostname, which doesn't resolve. To avoid confusion, i'll suggest sixxs adding the hostname again, rather than having multiple distributions having to issue a new version. Leif

The host noc.sixxs.net was turned off in 2014 after having run for a very very long time. It is not ever coming back and to honor the name we'll also not add it back in a fake way to DNS. Updating aiccu for that does not make sense, very few people use the testing facility. Anybody who is still using AICCU or any other tunnel has had it for well over a year. These people will all be calling their ISP though to get Native IPv6 instead of running ancient tests. Also note that the test is just an indicator, any host we point it to might be down or otherwise unreachable when one runs the test.

This question is soon moot, with sixxt closing down. Is the server part of aiccu available in the public domain?
