Access IPV4 device over IPV6
[pt] Shadow Hawkins on Monday, 14 December 2009 17:25:40
I need connectivity to a IPv4-only device behind a NAT'ed internet connection(by the ISP). I've been able to gain IPv6 connectivity using AYIYA to the openwrt router serving the equipment, but now I need to connect to the IPv4-only device. Is that possible?

Is the device on a public network? Do you need HTTP access? If so, Sixxs operates a IPv6 gate http://ipv6gate.sixxs.net/

I can do both IPv6 and IPv4. I just want to use IPv6 to transverse the NAT.

Install 6tunnel and convert IPv6 to IPv4 again. Depends of course on protocol on how well that will work...

Thanks. I will see that. I also checked that if I'm only doind http, I can just put apache as proxy on another machine, IPv6 aware. That will convert the traffic from IPv4 to IPv6 and then use the AYIYA tunnel to the world.
