tunnelinfo != tunnelinfo/status wrt LastDead
[de] Shadow Hawkins on Saturday, 10 January 2015 01:56:28
A few days ago I revived my SixXS tunnel on my pfSense router. After some fiddling I managed to get it working. I currently have a stable connection and working IPv6 connectivity via SixXS. What keeps me wondering is: Whereas the Live Tunnel Status page shows no errors and current heartbeat timestamps, the "Last Alive" timestamp on the Tunnel Information page shows a timestamp two weeks ago, "Last Dead" is "now" and therefore my uptime always stays at 0 days. Should I be worried? I'm running sixxs-aiccu on my pfSense. I already tried turning on "verbose". That shows me a heartbeat line in my logs every minute. TIA, Oliver

Your tunnel endpoint needs to properly ping for it to be considered alive.

I solved my problem. A firewall rule was too restrict. Thanks for the hint. Today I found the corresponding FAQ entry, too. ;-) O.
