[au] Shadow Hawkins on Monday, 22 December 2014 10:16:28
HI. I have had my tunnel working for a few weeks now and it seems it stopped on the 19th and i'm not sure why? I have a cisco router my end and its been working with out issue. Everything on my side looks ok. The tunnel is up and no config changes on my end to stop it working. (that i know of) The router has been rebooted and still no luck. What are the steps that should be taken work work out what the issue is?

Config from Cisco Rrouter
interface Tunnel3
that is configuration, it does not show what is actually running. See the contact page for a large list of things to check.
AndrewHome#show ip int tun3
Tunnel3 is up, line protocol is up
proto-41 tunnels do not have a concept of 'up' even though silly boxes claim they are up, does not mean they are configured correctly.

That is what most people will call semi-static. Indeed, just use a static tunnel for these as they won't update often enough to warrant the heartbeat overhead. Just update the tunnel endpoint in the webinterface and all will work fine again.
