Meaning of Tunnel Statistics setting

I would like to know the meaning the second list box setting under Tunnel Statistics. A selection of bandwidth (or bandwidth usage) values are presented, but it's not obvious what these control. It's not the vertical scaling on the graph, which scales automatically. My experience has been that setting this to 1Mbit or higher gives meaningful values for the packets/s and octets/s graphs, whereas lower settings produce a graph which is flat at zero, regardless of the traffic profile during the selected time period. Perhaps a more explanatory legend on this page would be appropriate :-)

What you describe is exactly what it is for; sometimes one will have a couple of insane spikes (which might be caused by RRD loops), to avoid these anomalies, and to avoid us from having to add a snazzy zoom option, one can limit the range that is output, and that will thus give you a nice smooth graph, instead of an empty one.
