Request: ability to change rDNS of tunnel endpoint
[us] Shadow Hawkins on Saturday, 12 March 2011 20:02:50
[admin edit: moved to subforum + updated title to reflect content] Ability to control rDNS of the tunnel endpoint. Cause even if I point my domain at the internal IP of the gateway, any connections from the gateway show up as the tunnel endpoint rather than it's internal IP.

This (changing reverse dns on the tunnel interface) won't be done for the simple reason that the tunnel is a transit network. If you want to source connections from your own IP, then configure your machine properly to do proper source routing. See the FAQ there are some items in there covering that.

Actually it doesn't really show up in the FAQ, but it is in the forums: https://noc.sixxs.net/forum/?msg=setup-74300 The bug mentioned still appears to exist in Linux, but the workaround seems to be working just fine.
