When trouble tickets are changed/updated it would be nice to be able to get an automated e-mail, like one does after subscribing to a bug. Such a feature would be especially nice in cases of PoP downtime, so users know they can reactivate their tunnels.

We have considered this a couple of times already but never where really able to settle down on how to really implement this. From our view there are a couple of possibilities: 1) RSS/ATOM feeds, these are there for the forums 2) email for every message posted 3) automatic-subscribe to every thread one posts in 4) subscribe manually per-thread 5) other? What would be desired?

I agree on this beeing a good idea. And what i as a user would prefer is some or all of the following. 1. A section under www.sixxs.net where all such messages are kept, whith a possibility to filter based on parameters like, pop, country, ISP and soforth. 2. A -subscribe based- email service. 3. And a stripped RSS/ATOM version of point 1. And as mean to autonomize user-end systems, some sort of PUB/SUB or SPREAD system. Multicast-based of course. ;-) -Anders
