Bug in new AICCU version: new firewall rule on every start
[de] Shadow Hawkins on Friday, 16 December 2011 19:30:23
Hi, I just downloaded the new AICCU console version but on my Windows 7 Prof. 64bit SP1 every time it starts it creates a new firewall rule: aiccu_os_exec("netsh advfirewall firewall add rule name="AICCU: Allow incoming I CMPv6 echo request" protocol=icmpv6:8,any dir=in action=allow") OK. It doesn't recognize that there already is a rule. Regards Patrick

And the created rule is not working. ICMP-Type should be Echo-Reply.

The rule is created for the incoming direction, which thus is a Echo-Request and that should be sufficient for the default configuration as outbound packets are always allowed.

It doesn't recognize that there already is a rule.
Which IMHO is a Windows-side bug, it should not create the same rule twice. I'll amend this in a next version of AICCU.
