Routing problem at Amis
[at] Shadow Hawkins on Saturday, 02 July 2011 11:27:31
Hi, I'm using a tunnel from the Amis PoP and it seems there is a routing problem with Amis. The tunnel itself workes without problems, but I can't reach any IPv6 hosts. When I run tracepath6, the path always ends at host vienna1-te-2-2.amis.net (it seems all IPv6 traffic from my tunnel is routed via this host). An example output is here: $ tracepath6 www.heise.de ?: [LOCALHOST] 0.035ms pmtu 1480 1: gw-917.mbx-01.si.sixxs.net 12.988ms 1: gw-917.mbx-01.si.sixxs.net 15.467ms 2: maribor3-vlan-4.amis.net 12.194ms 3: vienna1-te-2-2.amis.net 16.208ms 4: no reply 5: no reply [and so on] I checked from the "other side" by pinging both gw-917.mbx-01.si.sixxs.net and vienna1-te-2-2.amis.net from two different IPv6 enabled servers (in two different, independent networks). Both of the servers reported "Destination unreachable: No route" for both hosts. For me, this looks like Amis stopped announcing IPv6 routes or something (I'm not a networking professional though). As I don't know who is responsible for such issues, I hoped you would be able to help. Thank you very much in advance! Martin

Seems they lost their IPv6 transit. Contacted Amis for them to resolve this.
