My tunnel doesn't work

Then you should do some testing:

  • Check that the webinterface notes that the tunnel is enabled, which it is per default
  • When using a heartbeat or AYIYA tunnel:
  • Check your interface table
  • Check your routing table
  • Check your firewall, both IPv4 and IPv6

Then you should try:

  • ping6 tunnel::2
  • ping6 tunnel::1

If those work you are done and a default route should take care of the rest. If it doesn't you should: tcpdump -Xns 1500 -i eth0 and try to see what goes on there.... Instead of tcpdump, one can also try Wireshark which has a nice GUI and is available also for Windows.

Have fun debugging...

When the problem persists and you can't figure it out, then read the "Reporting Problems" section on the Contact page which contains an even longer list of things you can test out to figure out at least where the problem occurs.
