My router experience is limited to a Netgear WGR614v6 that ties three desktops and two wireless laptops to a DSL modem. I had thought a new router would be needed to get ipv6 on the LAN so was surprised when all the Windows boxes configured ipv6 addresses after assigning a /64 subnet to the Ubuntu box and starting radvd. I don't know if there is something special about the WGR614, but if most routers pass ipv6 packets this could be noted on the wiki page. I suspect there are a lot of people who don't experiment with ipv6 because their existing router is not "ipv6 capable".

Security

Do any of the listed routers include stateful firewalling of IPv6 traffic, per RFC 6092 or similar? JCM12-SIXXS 13:55, 23 April 2011 (UTC)
