SixXS Heartbeat Client : Unix Client

This client is a simple daemon that detaches into the background and stays running. If another instance is running already on startup it will signal the running instance with a SIGHUP and exit itself.

The following UNIX alike platforms are supported:

•  Linux
•  OpenBSD
•  NetBSD
•  FreeBSD

FreeBSD 5

As FreeBSD5 decided to start using the KAME way of tunnel endpoint configuration and not using gifconfig anymore one has to use an 'os' value of 'netbsd'.
